WWE fans love to dream.

They dream about how storylines will play out. They dream about another company one day rivaling the WWE. They dream about one day stepping into the ring themselves.

Perhaps most notably, though, they dream about feuds that may or may not ever actually happen.

These “dream feuds” as they’re called have been a highly debated topic on Internet message boards and websites since before sites like this one even existed.

Fans all over the world have always and will always find time to talk about which two opponents they want to see face each other on the grand stage of the WWE, even though there’s a good chance that many of these feuds may never actually happen.

But hey, that’s why they call it dreaming, right?

While we’ve seen two dream matches in just the last couple of years (The Rock vs.John Cena and The Rock vs. CM Punk), there are still countless others that wrestling fans are dying to see.

What are they? Well, let’s take a look at some of the biggest ones.

10. The Wyatt Family vs. The Shield

Not even a year after The Shield debuted in epic fashion, The Wyatt family followed in the trio’s footsteps.

We finally witnessed the highly anticipated debut of Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper on last week’s Raw, and already, the chatter about the WWE’s newest faction clashing with its most dominant one has begun.

In fact, all it takes is a simple Google search to see that wrestling fans have been buzzing about the potential of The Shield vs. The Wyatt Family since before the latter group even debuted.

The Shield has been incredibly dominant for most of its WWE run, and with The Wyatt Family expected to follow suit, it’s no surprise that fans are already debating the pros and cons of this potential dream match.

It’s likely that one of these two trios would have to turn face to make a potential feud and match work. But perhaps a heel/heel battle between the WWE’s top factions would determine who the true top dogs are in the company.

Either way, this is a feud that could be incredible if done right. It’s no wonder why it has been talked about so much and will continue to be until it actually takes place.
9. A Battle of the Former Indy Sensations

The WWE’s main roster is now loaded with Superstars who were once among the biggest names on the independent wrestling scene.

CM Punk, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan and Antonio Cesaro are the most notable wrestlers who made a huge name for themselves on the indies prior to joining the WWE. Though to varying levels, all of these performers have had success in the WWE so far.

Of course, the indy connection that all of these stars share is something that has made many fans really want to see these former indy studs battle it out at the top of the WWE.

We’ve already seen a number of singles matches involving these guys—like that great Rollins vs. Bryan match and a number of awesome Punk/Bryan matches—but there are many more major bouts involving these Internet favorites that could still happen.

How about Ambrose vs. Punk? What about Bryan vs. Cesaro? What about Rollins vs. Ambrose once The Shield implodes?

To more casual fans, these bouts may not mean as much. But to hardcore fans, they’re dream matches that may have happened before but should happen at the highest level of pro wrestling.
8. Brock Lesnar vs. Sheamus

Brock Lesnar has proven to be one of the most entertaining and awe-inspiring Superstars in the WWE, even though most of his current run has been wasted on a meaningless feud against Triple H.

Regardless, Lesnar is still arguably the most must-see man in the company, so it would make logical sense for the WWE to capitalize on that by putting Lesnar in a feud with a guy who could actually benefit from it.

So, how about Sheamus?

Sheamus is certainly one of the WWE’s top stars these days, and especially over the last year or two, he’s developed into one of the best brawlers (and overall in-ring performers) in the business. His aggressive and brutal in-ring style would mesh perfectly with that of Lesnar.

After spending some time in the UFC, Lesnar is more of a fighter than a wrestler these days, so a fight with Sheamus would prove to be an all-out slugfest between two beastly behemoths.

There are plenty of reasons why Sheamus vs. Lesnar should happen, but the main one is simple: These two monsters would beat the heck out of each other in an amazingly entertaining spectacle.
7. Dolph Ziggler vs. Daniel Bryan

For a few years now, Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryan have constantly been mentioned in the “who is the best wrestler in the world?” conversation.

Many fans say it’s Bryan. Those same fans tend to agree that Ziggler is somewhere in the top five, too.

We’ve already seen them face each other in the past (including pretty recently on Raw), and the one pay-per-view match they have had—at Bragging Rights 2010—was one of the best matches in the WWE that year.

That match happened long before both Bryan and Ziggler were anywhere close to the stars that they’ve become today, and it was a pretty good indicator of what awesomeness might happen should these two meet again down the road.

That day will come eventually, and others here at B/R seem more than ready for it to take place.

Given time and the proper stage, it would be a minor miracle if Ziggler and Bryan did anything but tear the house down in what would be one of the best matches in recent wrestling history.
6. Rob Van Dam vs. CM Punk

Rob Van Dam is back in the WWE after six years away from it, and though he’s only on a part-time schedule these days, that still opens the door for a number of potentially great matches involving the former ECW headliner.

Not surprisingly, among the most anticipated potential RVD matches during his current WWE run is a battle with none other than CM Punk.

RVD is synonymous with ECW to a lot of fans, and Punk was, in a lot of ways, the face of the WWE’s reincarnated version of ECW. Of course, both Punk and RVD are also “Paul Heyman guys,” which has a lot to do with their respective runs in two very different ECWs.

A feud between RVD and Punk is a logical one because the two have history with each other and because of the obvious Heyman connection that they share.

With RVD recently returning and mixing it up with Punk in the Money in the Bank “All-Stars” match, perhaps that’s a sign of things to come.

Maybe some diehard wrestling fans who really want to see RVD vs. Punk will finally get their wish granted and see two of the most notable Heyman guys go one-on-one.
5. The Undertaker vs. John Cena

The Undertaker has faced and defeated plenty of major stars on the grand stage of WrestleMania, except for one man: John Cena.

Despite being two of the WWE’s top stars, Cena and The Undertaker have, oddly enough, hardly crossed paths throughout their careers, especially in recent years.

Perhaps that’s why so many fanswant to see the face of the WWE challenge The Undertaker and “The Streak” at WrestleMania.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out why this match is one that fans have long been buzzing about. Cena is obviously the WWE’s top guy, and he’s seen by many fans as the one and only Superstar who would have a legitimate shot at ending the most impressive streak in wrestling history.

“The Streak” probably won’t ever end, but at the very least, Cena would come closer to making the fans think it actually might end than anyone else ever has. Why? Simply because he’s Cena.

If there’s one man that the WWE thinks is bigger than “The Streak,” it’s Cena, and that would undoubtedly create an incredible atmosphere should this match happen on the grand stage of WrestleMania.
4. The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar

Eleven years ago, Brock Lesnar defeated The Rock in the main event of the SummerSlam pay-per-view.

Both men would leave the company shortly thereafter and go on to have a ridiculous amount of success outside of it. Lesnar became the UFC heavyweight champion while The Rock evolved into one of the top stars in Hollywood.

Now, both Superstars are back in the WWE (kind of, sort of), and if the fans have their way, we’ll get a repeat of that 2002 SummerSlam main-event at some point.

The Rock and Lesnar are arguably the two biggest names involved in pro wrestling right now. Lesnar has proven to be a major draw in both MMA and the WWE, and he instantly provides a major jolt of excitement whenever he’s around the WWE. The Rock, of course, does exactly the same.

Although some fans aren’t crazy about this match happening because it involves two part-timers, others insist that it must happen, preferably on the grand stage of WrestleMania 30.

The injury The Rock suffered at this past WrestleMania may have spelled the end of his in-ring career, but if it didn’t, then “The People’s Champ” vs. “The Beast Incarnate” is a money-making, blockbuster match that should definitely happen.
3. Kurt Angle vs. ______________

Kurt Angle has been in TNA for just as long as he was in the WWE (a whopping seven years now), but that hasn’t prevented fans from wanting to see him back in the company in which he rose to prominence.

A lot has changed in the WWE since Angle left in 2006. Many stars have left the company, and a number of new ones have come into it.

Whether or not Angle will ever return to the WWE is a topic that feels like it’s been debated for the last several years now, mainly because Angle has never completelyshut the door on one last run in the WWE.

Obviously, it would be great to see Angle—one of the greatest to ever lace up a pair of boots—back in the WWE, where there are tons of Superstars whom he’s never faced and could undoubtedly tear the house down with.

Imagine Angle vs. Daniel Bryan in what would probably be one of the best matches of all time. What about Angle vs. CM Punk? How about Angle vs. Dolph Ziggler?

It’s really hard to pinpoint just one “Angle vs. __________” dream match because there are so many Superstars currently in the WWE that fans would love to see him face.

The bottom line, though, is that should Angle return to the WWE at some point, there will be no shortage of potentially epic matches involving one of the best wrestlers in history.
2. The Undertaker vs. Sting

Two years ago, the wrestling world was abuzz when a series of odd “2 21 11” vignettes aired promoting either the return or debut of a WWE Superstar.

The most obvious choice for the man behind the videos was The Undertaker, but that didn’t stop fans across the world from speculating that it was actually someone who has never competed in the WWE, Sting.

Of course, we’d quickly learn that the videos were indeed for Undertaker after all. But ever since those videos began airing, there’s been a lot of speculation that Sting would one day be WWE-bound.

That speculation has begun once again, with WrestlingInc.com reporting that Sting could be headed to the WWE in the near future. If and when that does happen, it’s a potentially huge match with The Undertaker that has fans intrigued.

Sting and Undertaker have two of the most unforgettable gimmicks in pro wrestling history, and yet they’ve never crossed paths because Sting has never set foot in a WWE ring.

Should Sting spurn TNA to make the jump to the WWE, Sting vs. Undertaker is a dream match just waiting to happen—one that would finally end the debate about whether or not this match will ever come to fruition.
1. 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin vs. CM Punk

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin hasn’t wrestled in roughly a decade and is pushing 50, but that hasn’t prevented fans from begging for, as Christian might say, one more match from “The Texas Rattlesnake.”

Austin recently revealed that he’s “healthy enough” to compete at WrestleMania 30, and should all the dominoes fall the right way, that would lead him to a battle against none other than CM Punk on the grandest stage of them all.

Austin and Punk have recently picked back up on their playful Twitter war, and because of the similarities between their respective anti-hero personalities, this is a match that has more than just a few factors that make it actually possible.

Whether or not we ever see Punk vs. Austin depends largely upon whether Austin wants to return for one more match, but it’s safe to say that fans across the world want to see it happen.

They’ve been asking for it since even before WrestleMania 28, and they’vecontinued to do so ever since then.

With two of the biggest names in wrestling history constantly teasing an upcoming feud and Austin continuing to leave the door open for one final match, this is a monumental dream match that may actually become a reality.
